Hope you enjoyed the sets this week, including out special guest mix from The DJ Kid Creole. Please leave your comments below and don't forget to vote. We'll be back in 2 weeks time with a house-classics special for Christmas - leave all your requests below and we'll try to squeeze them in on the next show! Thanks for your support, Adam P :)

Only started listening to this show about 2 months ago and was sucked in by the tunes in the first hour.Adam P great choice of tunes, seamless mixing and your voice is not annoying like a lot of podcasts! BUT have this show been bought out by ASDA? The latest show only has 30 mins of decent tunes, the first bit but then why o why have dj kid creap, sorry meant a hole, sorry creole on.the mix is so not why i tune in for.Youve lost me

Paul, where can I start? Everyone has their own taste. While I'm happy you like my sets, I'm sure The DJ Kid Creole won't mind me mentioning that he is a big name on the soulful/deep house circuit, running hugely successful nights and events across the UK, and has had international residencies at the likes of Hed Kandi Beach Bar and Stereo Sushi. His brand of house is perhaps a bit deeper than our usual vibe, but it adds a nice bit of variety to this week's show and it is an honour to have him provide this great guest mix for us.
However, I can confirm that both Chris and I will be back with 60 minute sets on the next show. Adam P.

Yep guys tuned in and didnt feel the show.A lot of old tunes in first hour, that copyright tune has gotta be at least 7 years old? The "guest mix" was shite. He may be frontinting hed kandi nights and stereo sushi nights, but they have at least 80 on their books.Music wasnt that good, maybe if he used his real name and not the play off kid creole,or maybe this guy is a coconut.music bland and the show has changed.what next time, guest mix by someone else who is commercial and djs in the red sea, whooo.shame

Great show as usual i thought.
So what if the tunes are old. Good house music is timeless!!
keep up the good work.

Cheers Tom. We've always played a mix of old and new, from the very first show, nothing has changed. Chris DC likes to get out the classics, I like to chuck in the more upfront stuff. Good house music is good house music :) Adam P.

I agree with Tom! Nice one guys!

Would like to thank the Baked Soul guys for yet again a great show and for letting me be there guest! Just to confirm a few misunderstandings in the comments section…I do not front line Hed Kandi and never have done. My name originates from the Creole back ground, where my country of origin is - Seychelles. And the bland and slow music genre is called Deep & Soulful House. On the "Old tunes" - well im sure that you wouldn't like to go and see the talents of a House legend such as Louie Vega…still playing the likes of HARDRIVE - DEEP INSIDE in his sets. A CLASSIC NEVER DIES…

Baked Soul wrote December 11th, 2008 at 23:27

Thanks for the support again Dipen, and good to hear feedback from the DJ Kid Creole himself. Totally agree on the "old tunes" - if we just played 'the latest stuff', we'd just sound like everybody else. We're all about getting the balance right - we like to play a mix of older tunes you haven't heard for ages and true classics, right alongside quality upfront house. We're not too pretentious to worry about anything else. And if I could count the amount of requests in my inbox for David Bendeth! Talking of old tunes - one of our favourite nights in Manchester is Northern Funk - a night that plays nothing but 70s/80s funk and soul all night! :)
